The 2013 Toyota Sienna is a well-rounded minivan that offers flexible interior configurations (the interior can be configured for people or cargo), attractive technology features, the choice of 7- or 8-passenger capacity and a smooth and powerful V6 engine. Toyota Sienna is the only minivan on the market with available all-wheel drive. Major competitors of Sienna include Honda Odyssey, Dodge Grand Caravan and Nissan Quest.
The Toyota Sienna conveys a distinctive presence in the family van segment. Its sculpted shape yields a coefficient of drag (Cd) of .306, which is low for the class and a major factor in providing a quiet interior and admirable fuel economy. Distinctive window shapes and sliding door tracks hidden within the side window frames complement the sleek profile. The Sienna interior features upscale quality and elegance, yet every element is logical and functional. The distinctive swept shape of the dashboard makes the spacious cabin feel even roomier. The seat designs add flexibility and roominess, while central climate and audio controls are integrated into a single graphic element.
The 2013 Toyota Sienna excels in cargo flexibility and in second-row passengers comfort. The second-row seats can be moved forward or back, depending on the way the interior needs to be configured for cargo or people. With the second row removed and with the third row folded flat, Sienna offers a massive 150 cubic feet of cargo capacity.
The 2013 Toyota Sienna minivan is offered in five models: base L, LE, SE, XLE and Limited. The L and Limited are seven-passenger only, while the SE is eight-passenger only. The LE and XLE come in seven- or eight-passenger configuratios. All models come standard with front-wheel drive. An optional all-wheel drive is available for the LE, XLE and Limited.
The 2013 Toyota Sienna L comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, full power accesories, tri-zone manual air conditioning with air filter and rear-seat control panel, cruise control, cloth upholstery, sliding rear doors with power-down windows, a telescoping steering wheel and a 4-speaker audio system with a CD player.
The LE adds a roof rack, power rear liftgate, power-sliding side doors, heated mirrors, privacy glass, automatic three-zone climate control, eight-way power adjustable driver’s seat, floor- and overhead-mounted control consoles, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 3.5-inch display, Bluetooth connectivity, compass and outside temperature displays, steering wheel audio controls and a 6-speaker sound system with iPod/USB interface.
The SE adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a unique front fascia, sports suspension, revised power steering, leatherette upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. The Sienna XLE adds automatic hadlights, leather upholstery, heated front seats, wood trim, towing package, power liftgate, a sunroof, an unique metallic-gray grille insert and auto up/down power windows.
The Sienna Limited comes in addition with 18-inch alloy wheels, a satin chrome grille, dual sunroof, overhead console, chrome door handles, push-button start, integrated antenna, sonar parking system, keyless ignition, keyless entry, two-tone leather seating, driver memory settings, a leather-and-wood steering wheel and a 10-speaker JBL sound system.
All 2013 Toyota Sienna models are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 266 hp and 245 lb-ft of torque, with EPA-estimated mileage ratings of 18 mpg city/25 mpg highway for FWD models and 16 mpg city/23 mpg highway on AWD models. This engine is matched with an electronically controlled 6-speed automatic transmission with sequential shift.
Experts from Aol Autos say about 2013 Toyota Sienna:
The Toyota Sienna sets the standard for minivans. Sienna benefits from sharp, handsome styling that borrows design cues from SUVs and sedans. The Sienna SE is the most carlike in its handling, but all Sienna models are appealing in their own way, and versatility may in fact be the Sienna’s greatest virtue. Whether hauling the soccer team or materials from the home-improvement store or driving cross-country, there’s a Sienna for every purpose.
