The 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 is a four-passenger car that it is called “four-door coupe” by Mercedes. The CLS550 was created on E-class mid-size sedan architecture and was completely redesigned for 2012 model year. For 2013, the CLS550 receives minor feature changes, namely a new Bang&Olufsen premium audio option and an update to its mbrace telematics system. The 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS 550 is one of the most attractive luxury sedans on the market and competes with BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe, Audi A7 and Porsche Panamera S.
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 is available in CLS550 and CLS550 4Matic trim levels. Both models are identical, but CLS550 4Matic comes with all-wheel drive. The 2013 CLS550 comes standard with 18-inch wheels, dual-zone digital automatic climate control, adaptive air suspension, LED running lights, bi-xenon headlights, auto-dimming rearview and driver-side mirrors, a sunroof, 10-way power front seats with memory functions, leather upholstery, a power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a 7-inch video display, a navigation system with Comand interface and voice controls, a Bluetooth connectivity, Mercedes’ mbrace2 telematics system and a 14-speaker Harman Kardon audio system with a 6-CD changer.
The Premium 1 package adds automatic high beams, adaptive LED headlights, a rearview camera, keyless ignition, keyless entry, heated and ventilated front seats, a power trunk closer, a power rear sunshade and iPod/USB interface. The Lane Tracking package adds a lane-departure warning system and a blind-spot warning system. The Driver Assistance package adds adaptive cruise control while the Parktronic package includes front and rear parking sensors and an automatic parking system.
The 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 is powered by an efficient 4.6-liter V8 engine that combines rapid-multispark ignition with Direct Injection and twin turbos to deliver more power and torque from less fuel. This engine produces 402 hp and 443 lb-ft of torque. The CLS55 comes with rear-wheel drive, while the 2013 CLS550 4Matic comes with all-wheel drive. All models come with the industry’s first 7-speed automatic transmission.
Standard safety features of 2013 Mercedes-Benz CLS550 include traction control, stability control, antilock disc brakes, front knee airbags, front side airbags, full-length curtain airbags and mbrace-2 in-car communication system.
