The 2013 Hyundai Accent is a compact car that offers an attractive looks and a strong value for the money. The 2013 Hyundai Accent also offers an impressive interior space for its size, high fuel economy and plenty of standard features. The 2013 Accent competes on the market with Kia Rio, Ford Fiesta, Chevrolet Sonic, Honda Fit and Toyota Yaris.
The 2013 Hyundai Accent is offered in four-door sedan or 5-door hatchback variants. The 2013 Accent sedan is offered in a single GLS trim while the hatchback comes in GS and SE trims. The 2013 Hyundai Accent GLS sedan comes standard equipped with 14-inch steel wheels, full power accesories, air-conditioning, a 60/40-split-folding rear seat, a trip computer, a tilt steering wheel and a six-speaker sound system with a CD player and iPod/USB interface. An available Premium package adds to GLS sedan foglights, keyless entry, 16-inch alloy wheels, upgraded interior trim, cruise control, Bluetooth and steering-wheel mounted audio controls.
The 2013 Hyundai Accent GS hatchback comes with all the standard GLS features and adds a rear windshield wiper, body-color mirrors, a driver seat armrest and keyless entry. The SE adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rear spoiler and the equipment of Premium package as standard.
The 2013 Hyundai Accent is powered by a 1.6-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine with Dual-Continuously Variable Valve Timing (D-CVVT) that produces 138 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque. The engine’s most notable features is its use of GDI technology (Gasoline Direct Injection) that allows a better fuel economy, reduced emissions and increased power. The standard transmission of 2013 Accent is a six-speed manual. The six-speed automatic transmission with a fuel-efficient Eco mode is optional.
The 2013 Hyundai Accent has best-in-class front and rear shoulder room, and the hatchback has more cargo volume than many of its compact five-door competitors. The Accent has a lot of convenient storage spaces, including a storage tray at the base of the center console and bottle holders in the front doors. The 2013 Accent GLS is available with gray or beige two-tone interior while the GS and SE trims are available with a gray or a monotone black interior.
All the 2013 Hyundai Accent come standard with antilock disc brakes, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Traction Control System (TCS), active front head restraints, advanced dual front airbags with Occupant Classification System (OCS), front and rear side curtain airbags, driver and front passenger side-impact airbags and LATCH attachment system.
