The 2013 Honda Accord is offered in sedan and coupe body styles and it is fully redesigned. The ninth generation of Honda’s popular family car offers responsive handling, quick acceleration, roomy and high-quality interior, and superb fuel economy. With a new suspension, transmission, engine and safety equipment, the new 2013 Honda Accord is one of the best family-car on the market. The 2013 Accord competes with Nissan Altima, Volkswagen Passat, Toyota Camry and Chevrolet Malibu.
The 2013 Honda Accord is offered in four-door sedan and two-door coupe versions. There are six trim levels for sedan (LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L with Navi, Touring) and four for the coupe (LX-S, EX, EX-L, EX-L with Navi).
The 2013 Honda Accord base LX comes with 16-inch alloy wheels, cruise control, full power accesories, dual-zone automatic climate control, an 8-inch video display, a rearview camera, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, Bluetooth connectivity and a 4-speaker sound system with a CD player and iPod/USB interface. The LX-S model of Accord coupe is similar to the LX sedan.
The new Sport trim adds 18-inch wheels, an eight-way power driver seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and a rear spoiler. The EX comes with 17-inch wheels, keyless ignition, keyless entry, a sunroof, heated mirrors, Honda’s new LaneWatch blind-spot display and a six-speaker audio system.
The 2013 Honda Accord EX-L model adds driver-seat memory functions, leather upholstery, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, forward-collision and lane-departure warning system and a premium 7-speaker audio system. The EX-L with Navi adds a navigation system with voice recognition. The Touring sedan adds LED headlights and adaptive cruise control.
The LX, Sport and EX models come with a 4-cylinder engine. The EX-L and EX-L with Navi come with a choice of a 4-cylinder or V6 engine. The Touring comes only with a V6 engine. The 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine produces 185 hp and 181 lb-ft of torque (on the Sport, the same engine produces 189 hp and 182 lb-ft of torque. The standard transmission is a 6-speed manual. Optional is the Honda’s newly developed CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission).
The 3.5-liter V6 engine produces 278 hp and 252 lb-ft of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Standard safety features of 2013 Honda Accord include ABS, stability control, traction control, front seat side airbags, side curtains airbags and active front head restraints.
