The Chrysler Town & Country is one of the best luxury minivans on the market, that offers a long list of standard luxury features and also an innovative, versatile and capacious interior. The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country shares its steering, suspension, brakes, drivetrain and safety cell with the Dodge Grand Caravan, but it is more luxurious. The Town & Country is spacious and comfortable, and comes with very versatile rear seating configurations. This minivan competes with Honda Odyssey, Toyota Sienna and Nissan Quest.
The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country minivan comes in four trim levels: Touring, S (which is a new model), Touring-L and Limited. The Town & Country entry-level Touring comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic wipers, heated mirrors, a roof rack, foglights, automatic headlights, a power tailgate dual power-sliding doors, triple-zone automatic climate control, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an eight-way power driver seat, leather upholstery, full power accessories, cruise control, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, a 115-volt AC power outlet and a rearview camera. Also present on this model are Bluetooth connectivity, a rear seat DVD entertainment system, rear-seat USB charging ports and a six-speaker sound system with a USB interface and a 6.5-inch touchscreen.
The S model adds black-painted 17-inch wheels, a performance-tuned suspension, a darkened grille and black leather upholstery with unique cloth inserts. The Touring-L adds rear parking sensors, auto-dimming outside mirrors, blind-spot monitoring system, remote ignition and a power-adjustable front passenger seat. The top-of-the-line Limited model adds power-folding exterior mirrors, xenon headlights, driver memory functions, upgraded leather upholstery, a heated steering wheel, heated first- and second-row seats, keyless ignition, keyless entry, power-adjustable pedals and a 9-speaker premium sound system.
The 2014 Chrysler Town & Country is also available (this year only) in a 30th Anniversary Edition model. This trim level comes with 17-inch polished aluminum wheels, black leather-trimmed seat upholstery with suede inserts, black-colored interior accents, third-row power-folding seats, a larger console, chrome door handles, push-button engine start and 30th anniversary badges on the exterior, gauges and key fob.
The 2014 Chrysler Town&Country is powered by a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine that produces 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. All models come with front-wheel drive only. EPA-estimated fuel economy of 2014 Town & Country is 17 mpg city and 25 mpg highway.
Standard safety features include stability control, antilock disc brakes, active front head restraints, traction control, side-impact airbags for the front seats and side curtain airbags for all three row.
