The Chrysler 200 was first time introduced for the 2011 model year, and it is an entry-level car in the Chrysler lineup. This midsize sedan offers a strong V6 engine, a luxurious cabin with upscale materials and soft-touch surfaces and seats for five. The 2014 Chrysler 200 sedan competes with Toyota Camry, Nissan Altima, Honda Accord and Chevrolet Malibu. The Chrysler 200 convertible is considered a distinct model.
The Chrysler 200 sedan offers a solid feel and tight handling, a smooth ride, and a cabin that is very quiet thanks to sound-absorption materials and acoustic glass windshield, usually found in higher priced vehicles. The interior has high-quality materials and supportive seats. The instrument panel in gray graphics looks well, and its white accent lighting is wonderful at night, creating a nice ambient cockpit lighting.
The 2011 chrysler 200 sedan is available in LX, Touring and Limited trim levels. The Chrysler 200 LX comes standard with 17-inch steel wheels, heated mirrors, manually operated air conditioning, cloth upholstery, a height-adjustable driver seat, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, cruise control, illuminated keyless entry, a 60/40-split-folding rear seat and a four-speaker audio system with a CD player and steering wheel controls. The Touring adds 17-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and a 6-speaker sound system.
The Cold Weather package is optional and adds remote ignition and heated front seats. Also available is the Uconnect Voice Command package that adds an iPod/USB audio interface, an auto-dimming mirror and Bluetooth connectivity. The S package adds 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, black grille, black headlamp housing and projector fog lamps with black bezels. The Super S package includes 18-inch black semigross aluminum wheels, polished exhaust tips, body-color side sills and unique front-end styling.
The 2014 Chrysler 200 sedan Limited adds leather upholstery, foglights, a 6.5-inch touchscreen interface and an upgraded 276-watt Boston Acoustics sound system.
The 2014 Chrysler 200 sedan has two available engines: a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine (standard on the LX and Touring) that produces 173 hp and 166 lb-ft of torque, and a 3.6-liter V6 engine (standard on the Limited) that produces 283 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. The only transmission available is a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Standard safety features of the Chrysler 200 sedan include ABS, traction control, stability control, active head restraints, front side airbags and side curtain airbags.
