The 2014 Cadillac SRX Crossover is a midsize 5-seat luxury crossover SUV that offers 61.1 cubic feet of cargo-carrying capacity with the rear seatbacks folded, a modern design with upmarket materials and a high level of attention to detail, a powerful engine and a smooth and able ride. First introduced in 2010, the current SRX has a revised interior that incorporates Cadillac’s CUE (Cadillac User Experience) touchscreen interface. This interface has a large screen and uses proximity sensors and voice recognition to control phone, audio and navigation functions. The 2014 Cadillac SRX competes with Audi Q5, Lexus RX, Acura RDX and Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class.
The 2014 Cadillac SRX is available in four trim levels: Base, Luxury, Performance and Premium. The 2014 Cadillac SRX base model comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless entry, front and rear parking sensors, automatic headlights, leatherette upholstery, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat, an eight-way power driver seat, the CUE interface with 8-inch color display, OnStar, Bluetooth connectivity and an eight-speaker Bose audio system with a CD player and two USB ports.
The Luxury trim adds keyless ignition, keyless entry, an eight-way adjustable passenger seat, power-folding mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, automatic wipers, a power tailgate with adjustable height, a panoramic sunroof, a blind-spot warning system, a rearview camera, a rear cross-trafic alert system and adjustable thigh support for thr driver seat. Also standard on the Cadillac SRX Luxury are driver memory functions, power-adjustable pedals, heated front seats and steering wheel, leather upholstery and interior wood trim. Optional on the Luxury trim level are automatic high beams, lane departure warning system and adaptive cruise control.
The Cadillac SRX Performance model adds 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive dampers, a sport-tuned suspension, foglights, a variable-effort power steering, adaptive xenon headlights, a voice-activated navigation system with real-time traffic and a 10-speaker Bose Surround-sound audio system. The top-of-the-line SRX Premium adds three-zone climate control, heated rear seats, ventilated front seats, rear seat audio controls, a safety alert driver seat and forward-collision and lane departure warning system.
The 2014 Cadillac SRX is powered by a 3.6-liter DOHC V6 VVT engine that produces 308 hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. The only transmission offered is a 6-speed automatic. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is available for all models.
Safety features of the 2014 SRX include OnStar ( that includes automatic crash notifications, on-demand roadside assistance, remote door unlocking and turn-by-turn navigation), antilock disc brakes (ABS), six airbags (front, side and curtain), stability control and traction control.
