The refreshed 2014 Volkwagen Scirocco will make its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Auto Show, in the same place where 40 years ago this hatchback coupe was first launched. After more than a million Sciroccos sold, Volkswagen has considered that it is time for a refresh.
The new 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco comes with a stylish shape that has been modernized and refined, with new taillights and headlights, as well as revised bumper styling. The revised front bumper features aerodynamic “blades” in the outer section, with integrated indicator lights, daytime running lights and fog lights. At the rear, all Sciroccos have LED tail lights, while the bumper has been reshaped to appear lower and more purposeful.
The new Volkswagen Scirocco comes with a choice of several different petrol and diesel engines. The 1.4 TSI petrol engine produces 123 hp, while a new 2.0-liter engine (which replaces the previous 2.0 TSI unit) produces 177 hp or 217 hp, depending on model. A 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine comes in two versions and generates 147 hp or 181 hp. All of these models get standard stop-start function in Europe.
