The new Volkswagen Scirocco

After more than a million Sciroccos sold, Volkswagen has considered that it is time for a refresh.
The new 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco comes with a stylish shape that has been modernized and refined, with new taillights and headlights, as well as revised bumper styling. The revised front bumper features aerodynamic “blades” in the outer section, with integrated indicator lights, daytime running lights and fog lights. At the rear, all Sciroccos have LED tail lights, while the bumper has been reshaped to appear lower and more purposeful.
The new Volkswagen Scirocco comes with a choice of several different petrol and diesel engines. The 1.4 TSI petrol engine produces 123 hp, while a new 2.0-liter engine (which replaces the previous 2.0 TSI unit) produces 177 hp or 217 hp, depending on model. A 2.0-liter TDI diesel engine comes in two versions and generates 147 hp or 181 hp. All of these models get standard stop-start function in Europe.
The new 2014 Volkswagen Scirocco will be delivered starting in August, in Europe.
Nissan Pathfinder 2014

The Pathfinder’s second- and third-row seats fold flat to expand cargo volume to 80 cubic feet. There’s 16 cubic feet behind the third row seat backs and small storage space beneath the floor. The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder competes with Ford Flex, Mazda CX-9, GMC Acadia, Dodge Durango and Toyota Highlander.
The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder is offered in four trim levels: S, SV, SL and Platinum. The new 2014 Pathfinder Hybrid is selling as a distinct model. The Pathfinder S comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, rear privacy glass, tri-zone automatic climate control, 60/40-split-folding second-row seats, a 50/50-split third-row seats, a height-adjustable driver seat, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, cruise control and a 6-speaker sound system with a 6-CD changer.
The Pathfinder SV adds keyless ignition/entry, a roof rack, automatic headlights, rear parking sensors, an eight-way power driver seat, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a rearview camera, Bluetooth connectivity, a 7-inch color multi-information display and an upgraded audio system. The SL model adds a power liftgate, heated mirrors, foglights, leather upholstery, driver memory settings, heated front and rear seats and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.
The top-of-the-line Platinum model adds 20-inch alloy wheels, a towing package, a power-adjustable heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats and a 360° parking camera. A Premium package is available for the Pathfinder SL and Platinum. For the SL this package adds a larger 8-inch touchscreen display, a navigation system, an 120-volt power outlet, a tow package, a dual panoramic sunroof and a 13-speaker Bose sound system. For the Platinum, the Premium package add to the above features a rear-seat entertainment system with dual displays.
The 2014 Nissan Pathfinder is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC 24-valve V6 engine that produces 260 hp and 240 lb-ft of torque. The Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) is the only available transmission. The front-wheel drive is standard while the all-wheel drive is available as option.
Standard safety features of the 2014 Nissan Pathfinder include front and front seat-mounted side airbags, curtain airbags for all three rows, ABS, traction control, rearview camera, parking sensors and roof-mounted curtain side-impact supplemental air bags.
The new 2014 BMW 2 Series Active Tourer

The new BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is being launched with a choice of three powerful, light and fuel-efficient three- and four-cylinder engine.
BMW says that the new three-cylinder petrol unit stands out for its exceptional efficiency and great performance abilities. This engine has a displacement of 1.5 liters and generates 136 hp. This engine will be mounted on the BMW 218i Active Tourer. The 225i Active Tourer comes with a 4-cylinder/ 231 hp engine, while the BMW 218d Active Tourer comes with an 150 hp diesel engine.
The BMW 2 Series Active Tourer is the first model in the premium compact class to be made available with a Head-up Display, which projects all relevant driving information into the driver’s field of vision in full colour.
The production of this model is expected to start in May, 2014.
2014 Lexus RX

Lexus was first introduced in 1989 in the USA, but now it is sold globally and it has become the Japanese premium car with the best sales. Lexus has now a wide range of models, including sedans, SUVs, convertibles and sports.
The 2014 Lexus RX is a five-passenger luxury crossover SUV that has a luxurious cabin, roomy back seats and ample cargo space. The cabin is quiet and attractive, with high-quality materials and standard features are generous. RX also has an ample luggage and cargo space with 40 cubic feet standard and 80 cubic feet with rear seats folded. The 2014 Lexus RX competes with Acura MDX, Cadillac SRX, Lincoln MKX, Infiniti QX60 and Volkswagen Touareg.
The 2014 Lexus RX is available in three trim levels: RX 350, RX 350 F Sport and the hybrid RX 450h. The RX 350 and the RX 450h are available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive while the RX 350 F Sport comes with all-wheel drive only.
The 2014 Lexus RX 350 comes standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, LED running lights, foglamps, automatic headlamps, rear privacy glass, dual-zone automatic climate control, keyless ignition, keyless entry, a power liftgate, a leather-wrapped power tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, eight-way power front seats, a sliding and reclining rear seat, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and cloth upholstery. The Safety Connect emergency communications system, Bluetooth connectivity an a 9-speaker audio system with 6-CD changer and iPod/USB interface are also standard. The Premium package is available for the RX 350 and consists in a sunroof, power-folding mirrors, roof rails, driver memory settings and leather upholstery. The Comfort package adds xenon headlights, automatic wipers and heated and ventilated front seats.
The Lexus RX 350 F Sport comes with the contents of the Premium and Comfort packages as standard and adds 19-inch wheels, special interior trim, a perforated leather upholstery and a sport-tuned suspension. The Display Audio package adds a rearview camera, a larger 7-inch central display screen and the Lexus Remote touch electronics interface. A navigation system, a dual-screen rear entertainment system and a 15-speaker Mark Levinson sound system are available as options.
The rX 450h hase the same features as RX 350, the difference between them consisting of hybrid system.
The 2014 Lexus RX 350 and RX 350 F Sport are powered by a 3.5-liter V6 engine that produces 270 hp and 248 lb-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic Electronically Controlled transmission (ECT-i) is standard for the RX350, while an eight-speed ECT-i transmission is standard for the RX 350 F Sport AWD. The RX 450h hybrid comes with a 3.5-liter Atkinson-cycle V6 engine that is paired with a version of Toyota’s Hybrid Synergy Drive (front-wheel-drive model uses two electric motors and the all-wheel-drive model adds a third electric motor to drive the rear wheels – in this case no mechanical connection between the axles is needed). This hybrid system returns in total 295 hp. The RX 450 h comes with an Electronically Controlled Continuously Variable Transmission with intelligence (ECVT-i).
