The 2013 Jeep Wrangler is one of the most fun and capable off-road SUVs on the market. The 2013 Jeep Wrangler is a convertible SUV available in two-door Wrangler and four-door Wrangler Unlimited versions. This SUV is really an off-roader and competes with Nissan Xterra and Toyota FJ Cruiser. For the 2013 model year, engineers for the Jeep Wrangler focused their attention on 4×4 capability and interior ergonomics.
The 2013 Jeep Wrangler comes in base Sport, popular Sport S, Sahara and super-off-road focused Rubicon trims. New for 2013 is a limited-edition Moab version. The Jeep Wrangler Moab edition is based on the Sahara model and it is equipped with hardware popular with off-roading enthusiasts.
The 2013 Jeep Wrangler base Sport comes with 16-inch steel wheels, foglamps, crank windows, front and rear tow hooks, a removable soft top, cruise control, a height-adjustable driver seat, a tilt-only steering wheel and a six-speaker sound system with steering wheel controls. The Unlimited adds more backseat and trunk space, a 60/40 split-folding rear seat and air-conditioning. The Power Convenience Group adds power locks and windows, keyless entry and heated power mirrors.
The Sahara adds the above optional items plus 18-inch alloy wheels, under-hood insulation, side steps, an upgraded suspension, automatic headlamps and a six-speaker Infinity sound system. The upgrades of 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab edition include 17-inch Rubicon alloy wheels painted gloss black, Trak-Lok anti-spin rear differential, Mopar power dome hood, premium rock rails and premium black front and rear off-road bumpers.
The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon is not the most abundantly equipped trim level, but it comes with the equipment that off-road enthusiasts ussually add anyway, including front and rear electronic locking differentials, heavy duty axles, sway bar disconnect system and rock rails. Other features include 17-inch wheels, 32-inch tires, air-conditioning and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The 2013 Jeep Wrangler is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. Four-wheel drive and a six-speed manual transmission with hill-start assist are standard. A five-speed automatic transmission is optional.
Standard safety features of 2013 Jeep Wrangler include antilock disc brakes, traction control, stability control, hill start assist and electronic roll mitigation.
