The 2013 Buick Encore is an all-new model. The Buick Encore is a compact luxury crossover SUV that offers a body with an attractive design, premium interior materials and more standard features than most affordable compact SUVs. The new Buick Encore is offered in four trim levels: Standard, Convenience, Leather and Premium.
The 2013 Buick Encore has room for five and up to 48.4 cubic feet of storage space with the rear sead folded. The Encore also offers higher driving position and all-wheel-drive capability as well as a contemporary styling of a crossover. Standard features of Buick Encore include 18-inch alloy wheels, Buick QuietTuning acoustics package with active noise cancellation, Bluetooth connectivity, IntelliLink Buick audio system activated by voice with 7-inch touchscreen monitor, power windows, power heated mirrors, cloth upholstery, power driver seat, a cargo cover and a rearview camera.
The Convenience adds dual-zone climate control, auto-dimming mirrors, fog lamps and remote start. The Leather trim adds heated front seats, leather upholstery, heated steering wheel and power passenger seat. The Premium adds parking sensors, rain sensing wipers, blind spot alert and Bose audio system.
The 2013 Buick Encore is powered by a 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder ECOTEC engine that produces 138 hp and 148 lb-ft of torque. This engine is coupled to a Hydra-Matic 6T40 6-speed automatic transmission that allows Encore to achieve robust acceleration as well as fuel eficiency and lower engine noise. Front-wheel drive is standard while all-wheel-drive system is optional.
Standard safety features of Buick Encore include 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, brake assist, electronic stability system, traction control system and ten airbags, including ones for the knees and thorax.
