2012 Cadillac CTS sedan

The 2012 Cadillac CTS is an American-made luxury sedan that offers a large dose of style and an impressively finished interior. For 2012, the Cadillac CTS receives a new 3.6-liter V6 engine, a new slightly revised grille and new options such as a heated steering wheel and automatic wipers. The 2012 Cadillac CTS competes with BMW 3-Series, Audi A4 and Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS (also named CTS Sport Sedan) is a midsize luxury sedan that is available in four trim levels: 3.0 base (at $35,915 MSRP), 3.0 Luxury (from $39,050 MSRP), 3.6 Performance (at $ 42,290) and 3.6 Premium (from $48,290). The Cadillac CTS Coupe, Sport Wagon and high-performance CTS-V are considered distinct models.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS sedan 3.0 base comes standard with 17-inch alloy wheels, heated mirrors, cruise control, automatic headlights, keyless entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, a tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel, Bluetooth and an eight-speaker Bose sound system with a CD player. The Cadillac CTS Sport Sedan 3.0 Luxury adds automatic wipers, remote ignition, driver memory functions, a rearview camera, leather upholstery, a wood-trimed steering wheel and a six-CD changer. The optional 18-inch All-Season Tire Performance package adds a sport-tuned suspension, xenon headlights and 18-inch wheels. The Touring package adds special interior trim and a sport grille.

The 3.6 Performance adds to the 3.0 base equipment a more powerful engine, driver memory functions, remote ignition, heated front seats and 10-speaker Bose audio system with a CD player and an iPod/USB audio interface. The 3.6 Premium includes all the above equipment and adds a heated steering wheel, a panoramic sunroof and a navigation system with a pop-up touchscreen interface.

The 3.0 models of 2012 Cadillac CTS sedan come standard with a 3.0-liter V6 engine that produces 265 hp and 220 lb-ft of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional. Rear-wheel drive models come standard with a six-speed manual transmission while all-wheel drive models come with a six-speed automatic transmission.

The 2012 Cadillac CTS 3.6 models come with a new 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 318 hp and 275 lb-ft of torque, compared to the current engine’s 304 hp and 273 lb-gt of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is optional. All 3.6 models of Cadillac CTS sedan come with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Standard safety features of 2012 Cadillac CTS sedan include traction control, antilock disc brakes, stability control, active front head restraints, side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags for both rows and more.
