Subaru is internationally known for their use of boxer engines in most of their vehicles.
Starting at 20.495 $, the new generation Subaru Forester is a total re-design of the award-winning crossover SUV that has built a strong reputation as an icon of safety and versatility.
To attract potential buyers, Subaru management has equiped the 2011 Forester with an all-new engine, in addition to updating the equipment level for the different trim levels. Standard for the 2,5x models is the 2,5 liter boxer 4-cylender engine. This engine generates 170 horse power and 174 pound-feet of torque. The EPA rates for this engine is 20 MPG city/ 26 MPG highway for automatic 4-speed transmission and 21 mpg city/ 27 mpg highway for manual 5-speed transmision.
Bluetooth is standard on all base model. Backup camera is standard on 2,5x Touring and 2,5xT Touring. New audio system is disponible for 2,5x Premium: AM/FM 100-watt premium stereo with a 6-disc in-dash CD changer, six speaker, 3,5 mm auxiliary input jack, iPod control capability and USB port.
