Mazda 6 2011 review

The Mazda6 is a mid-size sedan that offers all the standards in its class like four-doors, five-passenger seating, interior roominess, comfort and convenience features and lots of cargo space.

The 2011 Mazda 6 is available in seven trim levels: iSport ($19.990 MSRP), iTouring ($22.635 MSRP), iTouring Plus ($24.240 MSRP), iGrand Touring ($26.820), sTouring Plus ($27.080 MSRP) and sGrand Touring ($29.320 MSRP). Models with the ”i” prefix come with the four-cylinder engine, while models ¬†with the ”s” prefix come with the V6.

For the 2011 model year, Mazda6 is more fuel efficient and receives a new headlight and fog light design, as well as a new 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheel design. Touring Plus and Grand Touring models receives new side folding mirrors with turn signal lamp. The new 2011 Mazda6’s styling is based on the sporty design of the current model, but these updates mean a clearer premium identity and morre refined character. Inside, a new steering wheel design and premium trim accents on the center instrument panel greet the driver upon entry. Two new exterior colors are added for the new 2011 Mazda 6 model: Ingot Silver and Techno White Pearl.

A new 4.3-inch Multi Information Display for audio and Bluetooth controls and a rearview camera are now standard on Grand Touring models. A rearview camera is also added to the optional Navigation System on 2011 Mazda 6 Grand Touring models which features an upgrade 7-inch touch screen display with real-time traffic information. Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio are added as standard equipment to the Touring model.

The entry-level Mazda 6 2011 iSport is equipped with remote keyless entry, cruise control and steering wheel mounted controls. The Mazda6 iTouring adds 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, in-dash 6-disc CD charger, trip computer and Bluetooth hands-free phone and audio operations. The Mazda 6 2011 iTouring Plus adds power moonroof, ground illumination and Blind Spot Monitoring System.

Mazda6 2011 Grand Touring includes leather-trimmed seats, heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Bose audio system and Multi Information Display.

The engine of new 2011 Mazda 6 ”i” models is an 2.5-liter DOHC, 16 valve, 4-cylinder in line with VVT (Variable Valve Timing). This engine produces 170 hp @ 6000 rpm and 167 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. The transmission of ¬†”i” models is a 6-speed manual or 5-speed Sport automatic. The fuel economy of 2011 Mazda6 ”i” model is 21 mpg city / 30mpg highway with manual transmission and 22 mpg city/ 30 mpg highway with automatic transmission.

The Mazda6 2011 ”s” models are equipped with an 3.7-liter DOHC, 24 valve, V6 with VVT engine that produces 272 hp and 269 lb-ft of torque. The transmission is an 6-speed Sport automatic with Adaptive Shift Logic and Manual-Shift mode. The fuel economy is 18 city/ 27 mpg highway.
