Chevrolet says:
Cruze challenges conventional compact wisdom with one simple word: more. Its cavernous, quiet interior and beautifully sculpted exterior feel like luxury. Cruze is filled with performance, safety and technology features you won’t believe come in a compact.
All Cruze models share an interior characterized by premium materials and a lengthy roster of unexpected equipment, including leading infotainment. A stereo system that includes MP3 playback capability, six speaker and an auxiliary jack for personal playback devices are standard. A premium Pioneer sound system is available, as well as a USB port for iPod operation. Other available technologies include Bluetooth and a navigation system. The instrument panel is an excellent example of how Cruze eschews espectations of compact cars. It features richly detailed instruments that are backlight with light-emitting diode (LED) technology.
The base Chevrolet Cruze 2011 LS trim level is powered by a 1.8-liter inline four -cylinder (136 horsepower, 123 lb-ft of torque). The LT and LTZ trims get a turbocharged 1.4-liter four-cylinder (138 horsepower, 148 lb-ft of torque). Both engines are direct-injected, wich increases their fuel economy. The six-speed manual transmission is standard for LS and Eco trims. The six-speed automatic is standard for all LT and LTZ trims.
The Chevrolet Cruze 2011 Eco is a high-mileage version of the Cruze whose modifications improve upon the Cruze’s already respectable fuel economy without adding as much cost as a hybrid system would.
Fuel tank capacity is 12.6 gal. for Eco and 15.6 gal for LS,LT and LTZ trims. The fuel economy in city is 26 MPG for LS (1.8 engine), 24 MPG for LT, 2LT and LTZ (1.4 engine) and 28 MPG for ECO. For highway the milleage is 42 mpg for ECO and 36 mpg for the other trims.
The Chevrolet Cruze 2011 features 10 standard airbags: two frontal and two knee airbags for the front occupants, seat mounted side-impact airbags for all outboard seats and a pair of curtains that cover the side windows. Also standard are antilock brakes and the StabiliTrak electronic stability system with traction control. Front disc and rear drum brakes are standard, and rear discs can be had on the LTZ or as an option on the LT. Rear sonar parking assist is a notable safety option.
Chevrolet Cruze 2011 is backed by GM’s five-year/100.000 miles powertrain waranty – the best coverage in America.
