The big news for the new model year is that a series of new features, not previously available for Rogue, are offered for 2011, including the Nissan Navigation System, Rearview monitor, 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, USB port for iPod and other devices, authomatic climate control and auto on/off headlights. Many of the new features are now standard on 2011 Nissan Rogue, such as iPod connectivity, 6-way manual driver’s seat and illuminated vanity mirrors.
Among the many enhacements for the fourth year of Rogue production is a redesigned exterior featuring a new front fascia and grille, new rear spoilers, new front and rear tire deflectors and a new chrome license plate finisher. Four new exterior colors are offered: Pearl White, Cayenne Red, Frosted Steel and Black Amethyst.
Packaging is the priority in the 2011 Nissan Rogue. It has enough space to accommodate four adults, along with their luggage – plus it has a good ride and reasonably quiet interior. Cargo space, even with the back seats up, is ample, and the cargo floor is quite low. Ride quality is good too, wich will make most sensibly minded buyers happy, though some surfaces can bring out pitchiness and road noise.
2011 Nissan Rogue features available xenon headlights, available power silding glass, glass moonroof with dark gray color, and available roof rails (detachable crossbars are offered as an accesory). Chrome door handles, body-color bumpers, rear liftgate with fixed glass and power sideview mirrors are standard.
Utility of Rogue 2011 is enhanced by numerous convenient storage and ultra-functionality features, including an oversized glove compartment, a large center console and a washable, removable tray that fits below the cargo area floor to hold wet or dirty gear and tools.
The engine of Nissan Rogue 2011 is an 2.5 liter DOHC 16-valve, 4-cylinder with continuosly Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) and Nissan Direct Ignition System. This engine is rated at 170 horsepower @ 6000rpm and 175 lb-ft of torque @ 4400 rpm.
Nissan Rogue 2011 comes with a standard Nissan Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), combining smooth, linear and responsive acceleration feel with high-eficiency operation.
Nissan Rogue 2011 fuel economy is estimate at 22mpg city/ 28 mpg Highway for 2-wheel drive models and 22 MPG city/ 26 mpg highway for AWD models.
While the 2011 Rogue manages to cover all of the crossover bases, there’s very little to differentiate this compact utility from the rest of the crowd. It’s nicely sorted suspension and competitive fuel economy are nice selling points to be sure, but they simply aren’t enough to give the Rogue an edge over the competition
