Hyundai introduced new 2011 Sonata at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2010.
The 2011 Sonata represents a modern approach to the traditional mid-size segment, that competes with Toyota Camry, Honda Accord and Ford Fusion in this crowded family car segment.
Designed at Hyundai’s Southern California Design Center, the Sonata is four-year labor of love and it performs ever better than it look.
Sonata engineers decided to use a single fuel-efficient 4-cylinder engine option instead of creating a 4-cylinder and a 6-cylinder option like competition. Hyundai claims that its new 2.4L Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) engine is one of the most powerful naturally aspirated engines in this class with 200 horsepower and great mileage (35 miles from every gallon of gas).
Hyundai offered the new Sonata in three trim levels, each offering a handfull of optional equipment packages.
